MSE reports third quarter 2009 trading results.

According to the third quarter trading results, the volume of trading in the MSE Commodity market Section exceeded 317 thousand tons of goods, 617 transactions totalling over 2 billion roubles were registered (+ 21% compared to the second quarter 2009).

Cement trading in Constructional materials group resulted in over 140 thousand tons of cement worth approximately 326.5 million roubles, and 361 deals. The price index of cement showed a 5.44% drop compared to the second quarter of 2009 and stood at 2 310.09 points. The price-weighted index decreased 8.95% and stood at 2 227.76 points.

Prices for main grades of cement:

  • CEM II / A 32.5 H 2 052.93 roubles/ton (- 2.12% compared to the second quarter 2009)
  • CEM I 42.5 H 2 102.69 roubles/ton (- 6.51%)
  • CEM II / A 42.5 H 2 643.22 roubles/ton (- 11.01%)
  • CEM II / B 32.5H 2 175.59 roubles/ton (-6.34%)

Fertilizers trading in Chemicals group resulted in 176.7 thousand tons of fertilizers worth approximately 1.7 billion roubles, and 253 deals. The price index of the group decreased 0.13% versus the second quarter of 2009 and stood at 8 352.73 points.

Prices for selected fertilizers:

  • Ammophos 10 498.06 roubles/ton (+ 0.27% compared to the second quarter 2009)
  • Diammophoska 10 612.86 roubles/ton (-0.62%)
  • Ammonium nitrate 4 000 roubles/ton (-0.12%)
  • Nitrogen-phosphate-potash granular fertilizer 8 300 roubles/ton (no changes)
  • Complex liquid fertilizer 11 500 roubles/ton (no changes)
  • Diammonium phosphate fertilizer 10 500 roubles/ton (+ 2.44%)
  • Extraction phosphoric acid, clarified 14 000 roubles/ton (no changes)
