In accordance with the licence ¹ 007-10-338-000001, issued on April 25, 1997 by the Federal Financial Markets Service for the Nonprofit partnership "Moscow Stock Exchange" and then prolonged to the termless one on June 5, 2007, main spheres of the Exchange activity include:

  • Organization and conduction of securities initial placement;
  • Organization and conduction of secondary trading in securities;
  • Futures trading;
  • Provision of information on quotes, market prices and trading results;
  • Arrangement of training courses: "Organized Financial Market".

Over 11 years of stock exchange activity the MSE has conducted near 260 auctions for initial securities placement, distributed 308,5 million securities on the total amount over 1 billion rubles.

The volume of secondary trading in securities on the MSE exceeded 85 billion rubles, approximately 12 billion securities were sold and more than 800 thousand deals were settled.

Over this period the MSE Index has grown by 804%, and in December it estimated 9.4643.

According to 2007 results, the volume of securities transactions on the MSE trading exceeded 2 billion rubles, over 478,5 million securities were sold, 1710 deals were settled.

Forty-nine securities are admitted to trading on the MSE.

  3. PO "Vertikal" (POVR) - 8.2%
  4. Polyot (POLT) - 6.6%

  6. Planeta (PLNT) - 3.6%
  7. Sistema (SIST) - 2%
  8. Zavod Avtosvet (ZASU) - 2%
  9. COMSTAR - United Telesystems (CMST) - 1.9%
  10. SITRONICS (SITR) - 1.8%

Currently the MSE is implementing a new strategy on the stock market, aimed at attracting new issuers, whose securities haven't been yet introduced on the organized market.

The Exchange plans for the future include organization of initial placement and secondary trading in exchange bonds and shares of investment funds.
