Main spheres of the Moscow Stock Exchange include:

• Organization and conduction of securities initial placement;
• Organization and conduction of secondary trading in securities;
• Futures trading;
• Provision of information on quotes, market prices and trading results;
• Arrangement of training courses: "Organized Financial Market".

Over 13 years of stock exchange activity the MSE has conducted near 260 auctions for initial securities placement, distributed 408,7 million securities on the total amount over 1,2 billion rubles.

The volume of secondary trading in securities on the MSE exceeded 91 billion rubles, approximately 12 billion securities were sold and more than 800 thousand deals were settled.

According to 2010 results, the volume of securities transactions on the MSE trading exceeded 1,6 billion rubles, over 3,1 billion securities were sold, 722 deals were settled.

Currently the MSE is implementing a new strategy on the stock market, aimed at attracting new issuers, whose securities haven't been yet introduced on the organized market.

The Exchange plans for the future include organization of initial placement and secondary trading in exchange bonds and shares of investment funds.
